Gretchen comes to The Pines with a diverse background in sales, marketing, and communications. Her most recent role at Carol Woods Retirement Community in Chapel Hill spanned 13 years, including 11 years as Director of Admissions and Public Relations. While there she expanded the waiting list to more than 1,750 households, and successfully introduced North Carolina’s first CCRC without Walls program. Before joining Carol Woods, Gretchen’s professional journey began as a newspaper reporter and editor with her work spanning various publications across the United States including Arizona, Texas, and New York. She holds a Journalism degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
