The Pines Provides Its Residents Both a Vibrant Community & Financial Stability

Your assurance of years of carefree living at our non-profit community in Davidson, North Carolina.

The financial stability of our non-profit community can be summarized with one statistic: The Fitch credit rating for The Pines at Davidson in North Carolina is ‘BBB+.’

The Pines opened in 1988 for one reason: to provide a not-for-profit senior community for Davidson, North Carolina residents who wanted to remain close to their friends and family.

The Pines was created with the help of many volunteers, especially friends and members of Davidson College Presbyterian Church. The purpose of The Pines from the start was to offer a vibrant and dignified retirement option for the region.

As a not-for-profit, The Pines has raised more than $17 million in charitable contributions since its inception to enhance its facilities, programs and services.  Recently, gifts and pledges were raised for The Pines’ Great People, Special Places rebuilding campaign.

The Pines as a not-for-profit also does not pay dividends to shareholders. All revenues after expenses are used to help The Pines accomplish its mission and to enhance its financial stability. As a charitable organization, we have received many gifts over the years toward those goals.

This focus enables our community to attract and retain highly qualified staff and to offer up-to-date, modern facilities in important areas, such as health care and dining. This commitment makes a significant difference in lifestyle.

Prospective residents should review the financial strength of a community as closely as the living amenities. At The Pines, we are happy to share our financial data with you.
